HOW TO RECONSTITUTE PEPTIDES
RECONSTITUTING PEPTIDE
- Before starting, allow the peptide and bacteriostatic water vials to reach room temperature for 30 minutes, away from direct light or heat sources.
- Start by disinfecting the stoppers of both vials using alcohol prep pads.
- Assemble the large sterile needle and syringe and draw in about 1mL of air. Then insert the needle into the vial with the sterile solvent.
- Inject the air inside the vial to prevent negative pressure and immediately withdraw the correct amount of sterile solvent needed for reconstitution (usually 2mL).
- Pull the needle out of the solvent and insert it into the vial with lyophilized peptide. Then drip or slowly inject the solvent from the syringe while aiming the needle tip at the vial wall. To prevent foaming, do not aim directly toward the powder or spray the solvent.
- Once researchers have injected the correct amount of solvent, they can dispose of the needle and syringe in a sharps container.
- Let the peptide dissolve naturally within the solvent. In addition, researchers can very gently roll/swirl the vial. Avoid forceful tapping or shaking, as this can damage the peptide structure. Also, avoid tapping the syringe before injection.
- After the peptide has dissolved, check the clarity of the liquid and look for any particles.
IMPORTANT: Some solvents may appear cloudy, after mixing, but are still viable for use

RECONSTITUTING PEPTIDE STEP BY STEP GUIDE
- Step 1 – Remove the plastic cap from the peptide vial to expose the rubber stopper.
- Step 2 – Remove the plastic cap from the sterile water vial to expose the rubber stopper.
- Step 3 – To prevent bacterial contamination, swab the rubber stoppers with alcohol.
- Step 4 – Extract 2mL (milliliters) of water from the sterile water vial.
- Step 5 – Insert the 2mL (milliliters) of sterile water into the peptide vial, letting the water slowly enter the vial.
- Step 6 – Gently swirl the solution until all peptide is dissolved – DO NOT SHAKE THE VIAL.

Injecting peptides subcutaneously (under the skin) is a common method for administering certain medications and supplements.
This guide provides a comprehensive overview of how to safely perform a subcutaneous injection.
Materials Needed: Prescribed peptide medication Syringe with a fine needle (typically insulin syringes are used) Alcohol wipes Sterile gauze or cotton ball
Step 1: Preparation
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water to minimize the risk of infection. Gather your materials and place them on a clean, flat surface.
Step 2: Preparing the Dose
Remove the peptide vial cap and wipe the rubber stopper with an alcohol wipe. Remove the syringe from its packaging. If your syringe has a safety cap, remove it. Draw air into the syringe by pulling back the plunger to the required dose level. Insert the needle into the vial through the rubber stopper and push the plunger to inject air into the vial (this helps to draw the medication). Turn the vial upside down while keeping the needle inserted. Draw the prescribed amount of medication into the syringe by pulling back the plunger. Remove any air bubbles by gently tapping the syringe and pressing the plunger slightly if necessary.
Step 3: Choosing the Injection Site
Common sites for subcutaneous injections include: The abdomen, at least 2 inches away from the belly button The upper outer area of the thigh The upper outer quadrant of the buttocks The back of the upper arm
Step 4: Injecting the Medication
Clean the injection site with an alcohol wipe and let it dry. Pinch the skin lightly to create a fold. Insert the needle into the pinched skin at a 45 to 90-degree angle. Inject the medication slowly by pressing the plunger all the way down. Wait a few seconds, then remove the needle and release the skin. Apply pressure to the site with a gauze or cotton ball. Do not rub.
Step 5: Aftercare
Dispose of the needle and syringe in a sharps disposal container. Monitor the injection site for any signs of reaction, such as redness or irritation.
Important Tips:
